Brigadier Tim Seal TD DL

Tim was born in Essex and moved to Cambridgeshire in 1987 where he started his career in Sales and Business Development, at the same time as joining the Army Reserve as an infantry soldier at Coldham’s Lane in Cambridge.

A stint in The City as a financial futures broker was followed by a career in operational management where he held directorships with Bupa and other healthcare providers before shifting to semi-retirement in 2017.

Still active as a Brigadier in the Army Reserve, he is currently Deputy Commander of Home Command, which provides the foundations of the British Army’s fighting power, and combines this with non-executive and trustee positions with a number of charities, including Blind Veterans UK.

Committed to Cambridgeshire, he is County Chair for the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association, Honorary Colonel for the Army Cadet Force, Chairman Army Reserve Sport and Chairman of the Army Rifle Association.

In his “spare time”, he is married with three grown up children and is reluctantly getting used to being a grandfather!

Tim is the High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire for 2020/21, and was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire in 2014.
