I was born in Crowland and educated at Uppingham School and The Royal Agricultural University. I am married with three children and own a 400-acre arable farm which has diversified to include many renewable energy and recycling businesses.
I am the Past Chairman of the East of England Agricultural Society. I remain involved with the investment strategy. I have been a Justice of the Peace since 1999 and a Deputy Lieutenant for Cambridgeshire since 2013. I was awarded the Fellowship of Royal Agricultural Societies for services to Agriculture in 2020. I am head of Governors of Witham Hall Prep School. I play golf and tennis and enjoy watching all sports.
