It is customary for the Lord-Lieutenant to appoint a number of cadets drawn from a variety of cadet units within Cambridgeshire. This appointment, which is for one year, is the highest accolade possible during a cadet’s career. The cadets role is to assist the Lord-Lieutenant or her deputies at ceremonial and other events around the County. The cadets for 2025/26 are:
