Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal was received by HM Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Julie Spence OBE CStJ QPM to officially open Insmed’s new research and development laboratory at the Babraham Research Campus in Cambridge.
The Princess Royal was welcomed by Will Lewis JD MBA, Chair and Chief Executive of Insmed, and toured the facility, meeting scientists and learning about their cutting-edge work.
The facility integrates molecular biology, cell biology, and computational genetics to uncover new therapeutic targets. This new state of the art facility will enhance the ability to serve those with serious and rare diseases.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal was received by HM Lord-Lieutenant, Mrs Julie Spence OBE CStJ QPM to Olive AP Academy in Cambridge recognising its transformative work with vulnerable young people.
The Princess Royal toured the academy, observing lessons in art, maths, cookery, and English and spoke directly with Year 11 pupils about their aspirations and experiences. Pupils shared how the academy helped raise their confidence and opened doors to post-16 education opportunities that once felt out of reach.
