His Majesty The King was received by HM Lord Lieutenant Mrs Julie Spence OBE CStJ QPM to Cambridge Central Mosque on Mill Road, Europe’s first eco-mosque. His Majesty met with dignitaries, local faith leaders, trustees, school children, mosque staff and volunteers. King Charles also unveiled a plaque marking the 75th anniversary of Cambridge being granted city status by King George VI.

His Majesty The King was received by Deputy Lieutenant, Dame Polly Courtice DBE LVO DL to the University of Cambridge‘s Whittle Laboratory to officially open the new facility. His Majesty met with researchers and industry leaders from the aviation and energy sectors to learn about its mission to reduce the time it takes to develop key technologies in aerospace, energy and defence.
